Stress and Performance Coaching

You’re built to perform under pressure. The problem is it never switches off.

Pressure itself isn’t the problem. The problem is when urgency becomes your permanent operating mode, narrowing your attention, cutting into recovery, and following you into the rest of your life.

This is for you if you’re:

  • Running so hot for so long that burnout feels close

  • Unable to switch off, even on weekends or vacation

  • Pushed by perfectionism or an inner critic that’s never satisfied

  • Feeling like an imposter despite what you’ve achieved

  • Watching work crowd out your health, sleep, and relationships

  • Carrying the weight of a high-stakes role or a company you built

Find The Leverage Point

Stress rarely comes from one source. It’s usually sustained by several conditions working together: workload, attention, recovery, boundaries, internal standards, and the meaning attached to achievement. We map those conditions, find the few carrying the most weight, and change those first.

The objective isn’t less ambition. It’s a way of working that protects your focus, your judgment, and a life beyond work.

What We Examine

  • Workload and commitments: where demand exceeds capacity or priorities remain unresolved

  • Attention and digital environment: what fragments your focus and keeps you from fully disengaging

  • Recovery and daily rhythm: whether your week restores the capacity it consumes

  • Boundaries and relationships: where expectations, conflict, or constant availability keep pressure alive

  • Internal standards: the rules, fears, and self-criticism driving unnecessary overextension

  • Direction and meaning: whether the effort still serves a life you actually want

From Assessment To Experiment

We don’t try to tackle everything at once. We pick the two or three factors carrying the most weight, make specific changes, and review what actually happens. The plan changes as the evidence changes.

What Will Change

  • Clearer priorities and more deliberate decisions

  • Sustained focus with fewer preventable interruptions

  • More reliable recovery between periods of high demand

  • Boundaries that keep work from consuming the rest of life

  • Effort pointed at what matters to you

Why Work With Me

Hi, I’m Grayson. I’m a men’s coach and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I hold a master’s degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and have more than 2,000 clinical hours. That training taught me to look past the presenting problem to the patterns, relationships, and assumptions keeping it in place.

I also come to this work as a former Division I athlete and entrepreneur. I understand environments where ambition is necessary, performance is visible, and competence can hide how much strain someone is carrying. I don’t treat ambition as the problem. We look at what it’s serving, what it’s costing, and how to pursue it without letting it consume the rest of your life.

My coaching combines psychological depth with a practical process. We identify what’s driving the pressure, figure out which conditions can actually change, and turn insight into decisions, boundaries, habits, and ways of working that hold up outside the session.

You won’t get a prefabricated performance system. The work is built around your actual circumstances, measured against what changes, and revised when the evidence says to.

  • “I’ve never been big on emotions, and my wife said I’d turned into a brick wall. Grayson helped me see what was really going on and why hard conversations kept blowing up. Things are different now. I actually hear her without my preconceived judgement.”

    -D.J., 42, Nashville

  • “I used to hit a wall every afternoon and just doom-scroll. After a month of sessions I’m still tired sometimes, just not wiped out. I’m finishing work on time and actually cooking dinner again.”

    — K. R., 34, Seattle

  • “I went in thinking I needed a pep-talk about my career. We ended up digging into what I actually give a damn about. Two weeks later I told my boss I’m moving to the strategy team. A bit Scary. But the right kind of scary.”

    — L. M., 29, Miami

  • “First coach who got both trauma and performance.”

    — D., 37, Tampa

  • “Money always felt like a scoreboard to me. We reframed it around freedom and impact. I raised my freelance rates and didn’t spiral into guilt. Still feels weird, but way lighter.”

    — A.D., 37, Denver
